Documentary and Conceptual Photography Series Tehran, Iran | 2018 In Scan, I photographed passengers sitting in the front seats of cars travelling along Valiasr Street in Tehran. The photographs were taken from pedestrian bridges, using a fast shutter speed and a top-down perspective. From this elevated viewpoint, the camera briefly isolates people moving through the city. Each image transforms an ordinary moment of travel into an observation of urban life, personal space, movement, and anonymity. The title Scan refers to the act of visually searching the moving city.
